A Cowboy?s Touch by Denise Hunter:? book review by Hannah Nolte

Denise Hunter takes us into the world of work-a-holic Abigail Jones, who is consumed by her job at her mother?s magazine very seriously. The day comes when her mother tells her to take the whole summer off and rest. Reluctant, Abigail goes and stays with her eccentric great aunt Lucy. Who would have thought that within only a few days of her arrival in the beautiful state of Montana, she?d met a young girl who needed a friend; little does Abigail know that this friendship would come also with a job working for the little girl?s father.
Wade Riley is a man with a sad past. He is now trying to keep his past a secret and his daughter safe by living the life of a humble rancher. When Abigail comes to work for him, he wouldn?t have thought that she would arouse feelings in him. Since his wife died, Wade has not figured out how to love again. Could Abigail?s summer job not only help him out physically but spiritually and emotionally?
Meanwhile, Abigail finds out some things about Wade that he would have liked to keep in the past, and this information could help out her mother?s magazine; but will she spill the beans about his past?
A Cowboy?s Touch is a story about forgiveness, redemption, and letting go of the past and letting love back in. I would recommend this book for ages 15 and up only because it is very mushy and of course a love story. However, it is a good read.
