WASHINGTON (AP) ? President Barack Obama is adding Wisconsin to the list of states where he will campaign next week.
It's a sign that Obama's re-election campaign may be concerned about his prospects in the battleground state.
Obama won Wisconsin in 2008 by 14 percentage points, but Republicans have been gaining ground there. Polls in Wisconsin leading up to the Democratic National Convention showed a close race between Obama and rival Mitt Romney.
Obama hasn't been to Wisconsin since February, when he toured a padlock factory. That's long before Romney tapped Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan to be his running mate in August.
Ryan has held three events in his home state since joining the ticket, and Romney visited Wisconsin in August.
Vice President Joe Biden has already visited Wisconsin twice this month.
